WallOptic
The WallOptic is a partition that can be hung into the space and mounted on the wall. The project gains its validity by making use of optical illusions. The base theory is that the black and white rectangular patterns are the same size, as well as the smaller black rectangles placed into the white ones. Due to the optical illusion, however, the small black rectangles shift the contour of the white ones, which further distort the outlines of the large black rectangles. This way, the whole surface becomes wavy, making the space in which the fabric is placed move as well.
